This is a picture of a Zoom meeting of some of the local church leadership and our MPP Jeff Yurek which took place on Thursday May 14th. Arranged through Pastor Peter Cusick, this ecumenical gathering was to offer our support as a vital part of the fabric of our civil community, to hear what updates there are for eventual opening of Churches, the role of Christian leadership as a benefit to society and words of encouragement in this time of pandemic. We opened in prayer and Jeff gave us one hour of his valuable time. He also stated that he was interested in further dialogue so that we can all work together for the best for our people. He wants to see the Churches open and our parishioners safe. He has been and will be in contact with the bishops of Ontario, including Bishop Fabbro and Cardinal Collins. It was a great meeting. Let us continue to pray for those in public office that they will discern properly what the next good steps will be for all of us.
