can. 519 The pastor (parochus) is the proper pastor (pastor) of the parish entrusted to him, exercising the pastoral care of the community committed to him under the authority of the diocesan bishop in whose ministry of Christ he has been called to share, so that for that same community he carries out the functions of teaching, sanctifying, and governing, also with the cooperation of other presbyters or deacons and with the assistance of lay members of the Christian faithful, according to the norm of law.
Fr. Graham Keep was ordained May 1st, 1993 for the diocese of London, Ontario. He has served as pastor in various parishes and is presently pastor of the Elgin Roman Catholic Family of Parishes. Fr. Keep is passionate about parish ministry. He has served on various diocesan committees and the council of priests. Fr. Keep has been the diocesan delegate to the International Eucharistic Congress since 2000. Fr. Keep is a retired reserve military chaplain having served as Brigade Chaplain. In 2013, while being a pastor, Fr. Keep successfully completed his Pontifical Licentiate Degree through Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit with the focus in the New Evangelization. Fr. Keep is a close friend of Renewal Ministries based in Michigan. Fr. Keep has traveled the world speaking at conferences, retreats, missions, and taking groups on various pilgrimages. His hobbies include reading, playing a variety of musical instruments and playing golf (not well though!).
