The Family of Parishes
Diocesan Task Force, instituted by Bishop Fabbro, wanted to address the declining number of parishioners and the declining number of priests to serve the parishes in the manner we are used to.  The task force introduced a model similar to what is being done in other dioceses in Canada and the United States.

In this model, several parishes are grouped.  
The diocesan model was published in our family of parishes in June 2015. 

On July 2, 2019, all the Catholic Parishes in Elgin County joined together to create the Elgin Roman Catholic Family of  Parishes.  Our Family of Parishes currently consists of  Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Anne's, Holy Angels', St. Helen's and St. Mary's.

We are a family of around 3000 registered households in Elgin County. The Elgin Roman Catholic Family of Parishes is almost 100 km from end to end.
