Bookkeeper/Financial Secretary – Elgin Roman Catholic Family of Parishes

Position Summary:
The Elgin Roman Catholic Family of Parishes, comprises the individual churches of St. Anne's and Holy Angels in St. Thomas, St. Helen's in Wallacetown, St. Mary's in West Lorne and Our Lady of Sorrows in Aylmer is seeking a full time Bookkeeper (37.5 hours weekly). The office workspace is located at St. Anne's in St. Thomas, ON
Salary& Benefits:
In accordance with the Diocese of London Guidelines.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Accurately maintain separate financial records for the churches and the cemeteries of the Elgin Roman Catholic Family of Parishes in Business Vision
· Maintain the Mass Stipend Account
· A/P
· A/R
· Payroll
· Weekly offertory entry and maintenance of DDMS
· Weekly bank deposits
· Prepare income tax receipts, T4s, T4As and HST returns
· Prepare Federal Annual Registered Charities Report
· Prepare year end report for the Diocese
Qualifications:
· Experience in the bookkeeping/accounting field
· Competent computer skills working with Word, Excel and Outlook
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
· Provide a clear PVSBC
